Who can request samples?
Any research group, whether it comes from public institutions, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, etc., both national and international.
How does the Network application process work? What documentation is needed?
If you want to make a sample request, you will need to download our query form where you will need to specify the characteristics and formats of the different sample types you need. Along with this form we will need the following documentation: memory or summary of the research project for which the samples are requested and the cv of the principal investigator. The completed form and other documentation must be sent to the address firstname.lastname@example.org
As soon as the request is received and verified to be correct, a confirmation of receipt of the request will be sent to you by email. Within 15 days the first report will be sent to you with the responses of sample availability and / or possibilities of collaboration of our partner Biobanks, together with the contact details of them.
The next step, once the applicant evaluates the proposals, will be to contact the Biobanks of interest directly by the applicant, in order to specify the conditions of assignment. Each of the cedent Biobanks will submit the request for the transfer of samples to the approval of their respective Scientific and Ethical Committees, thus ensuring compliance with the law. If both Committees give the go-ahead, the samples are sent upon signature of a transfer agreement between the parties.
